왜 조기 준비가 중요한가

SAT 준비는 10학년부터 시작한다는 잘못된 인식이 지난 40여 년간 이어져 왔습니다.

그러나 입시의 흐름을 정확히 이해한 학생과 학부모님들은 이미 그 잘못을 깨닫고 조기 준비의 중요성을 알고 있습니다.

현재 많은 미국 명문 사립고등학교 및 명문 대학 섬머프로그램에서는 SAT 점수 제출을 요구하고 있으며,

12학년이 되기 전에 SAT 점수를 확보해야 여름방학 동안 봉사활동, 리서치, 인턴십, 그리고 기타 섬머프로그램 참여가 가능합니다.

또한 9학년부터 명문 사립고에 재학 중인 학생들은 이미 SSAT 또는 ISEE 등의 입시를 경험했으며, 국제학생들은 대부분 TOEFL 100점 이상을 고등학교 입학 전에 취득합니다.

따라서 조기에 학습을 시작하는 학생들이 입시 경쟁에서 확실한 우위를 점할 수 있습니다.

Why Early Preparation Matters

For over 40 years, there has been a widespread misconception that SAT preparation should begin in 10th grade.

However, students and parents who truly understand the admissions landscape start much earlier.

Many top private high schools and prestigious university summer programs now require SAT score submissions as part of their admissions or placement process.

Having a strong SAT score before senior year allows students to dedicate their final summer to meaningful experiences such as volunteering, research, internships, or academic programs—all of which strengthen college applications.

By 9th grade, many students attending elite U.S. private schools have already taken entrance exams like the SSAT or ISEE, and international students often reach TOEFL 100+ well before high school.

In competitive admissions, those who begin early gain a significant advantage, both academically and strategically.
